This morning’s weather didn’t bode well for outdoor activities. I stepped out of my front door and was immediately stopped by a downpour. Needless to say, I was worried that the plans for the day were soiled by horrible weather.
But as the day went on, the weather cleared up and the plans went on as scheduled.
MUCC got to experience the beautiful animals that the Utica Zoo houses.
…as well as playing some Pokemon Go.
As exciting as a visit to the zoo is, we had other reasons for our trip. MUCC had received an award at the zoo’s annual meeting.
The award was for an event last August called Cultures and Creatures, which celebrated the many cultures around Utica.
It’s an honor to be recognized by a popular Utica organization. It’s a great thing to see the good in our own community. Recognizing the achievements of our brother and sister organizations.
Utica is a great place filled with great people, and it’s also a beautifully diverse community with people from a number of unique backgrounds. It’s a great place to be.
